1. Good vs. evil 

Why is there a worldwide Free Palestine movement, with millions of supporters, if not billions, but no equivalent Free Israel movement?

No doubt this question will cause outrage amongst the Left, along with the almost 2 billion Muslims and supporters of Islamic ideology, including anti-Semites and anti-Zionists; and those unaligned people who simply believe what they read in newspapers and through online social media. But it is a question which must be asked, and must be answered.

It is not simply the case that "Jews are evil" and deserve to be classed as such and subject to revenge and barbarity as payback for the actions of the state of Israel and the Jewish race in general, whether individuals are guilty or innocent, young or old, male or female. No individual race is evil; only individuals, and even that through is irksome to many. But the Free Palestine movement posters seen on on streets and amongst protests in the West during 2023-2026 declaring "Rape is Revenge" and "Globalize the Intifada" support this scenario of wanton, unrestricted vilification of Jews and the people of Israel. This has lead to a rise in anti-Semitism and attacks on Jews resulting in their imprisonment, torture, rape and murder often in the most brutal manner, and with support for the perpetrators unbridled and celebratory by the very same Free Palestine supporters declaring their wish for peace, love and compassion. The events around the world following the 7 October 2023 invasion of Israel by 6,000 HAMAS combatants is evidence of that feeling of righteous joy on the part of Muslims and their supporters at the atrocities carried out against Jewish people.

Islamic hatred of Jews is unrestrained, and has been so since the time of Muhammad and his move to Medina in 622AD, where he carried out, over the final decade of his life, the massacre of three local Jewish tribes and instigated a process of genocide against Jews in the Middle East and beyond - a process which continued over more than 1,400 years to the present day.

The writer is a lifelong member of the Left, and was a supporter of Free Palestine for many years prior to a questioning of the whole, seemingly endless Middle East conflict early in October 2025. Conspiracy theories around Israel and Jews abounded and remain - world domination as part of a Zionist plot; a plan for a Greater Israel which would see Jewish control of a large part of the Middle East; a US - Israel alliance which seeks the genocide of all those claiming to be Palestinians, etc., etc., etc. Of course the evidence for these is scant, or non-existent. On the other side, the evidence for Islamic control of the world through a global caliphate and the implementation of Shariah law is publically proclaimed by senior Muslim clerics and the Muslim Brotherhood since its formation in 1928 - a mere continuation of the work of Muhammed since 622AD.

Why is the latter not talked about alongside the US / Israel / anti-Trump conspiracy theories?

"Why is there no peace in the Middle East?" the writer asked himself back in October 2025, as an Australian in his late sixties who knew nothing of the history of the Middle Eastern conflicts, knew nothing of Islam, and knew not a single Muslim or Jew. Where he grew up, this was not necessary. That ignorance was bliss, and is common throughout the globally isolated Australia, which is largely a Christian, non-Muslim country, with its laws based on the British model and the early adoption of Christian values, ethics and mores. However, all of that blissful ignorance changed for the writer, and Australians at large, on 14 December 2025 when two local Islamic terrorists slaughtered 15 innocent Australians on Bondi Beach and injured 50 more.

In the decade or two prior to the Bondi Beach massacre, local heat around the issue of Islamic ideology had slowly risen, with an increase in the Muslim population, an increase in support for what was presented as a "religion of peace" but which was, and remains, an ideology at odds with the West, and an increase in anti-Semitic attacks against Australian Jews and their organisations and places of worship. Of course the media and politicians sought never to publically blame Islam or Muslims for such attacks, as this would be seen as religious intolerance and, for politicians, have upset their efforts at garnering the so-called "Muslim vote" - a vote which was often determined by the will of male Muslims overriding the individual views and political opinions of their wives and family members.

Yet this was not Islamophobia at all. It was, and remains in fact, reality and the outcome of an ideology that goes beyond the bounds of what is defined as a religion (i.e., a belief system, adopted by individuals of their own free will and which seeks spiritual advancement and rejects the harming of others in any physical or psychological manner). The fear of the politicians was unwarranted and based on a false fear generated by Islamic ideology itself. Any person who has read the Qur'an will know that fear is to be found throughout that text - fear of Allah (God); fear of eternal damnation in the fires of hell; fear of death from apostasy and any show of disobedience regarding the strict Islamic ideology and Shariah law; fear of non-believers; and even fear of women and children.

Islam is not a "religion of peace." It is, in fact, an ideology which encompasses all aspects of one's life - social norms, politics, religion and beliefs. It prescribes, rather than describes; it demands, rather than suggests; obedience is mandatory rather than optional, voluntary or discretionary; it shows no respect for the life of non-believers. Some have labelled it a "death cult", with the Bondi Beach massacre an example of the implementation of that cult through belief in jihad as holy war.

A subsequent deep dive into the Middle East issue by the present writer from early October 2025, including a reading of the Qur'an, revealed that, whilst hatred of Jews has been present across the world for millenia, with the British prominent in that regard (viz., William Shakespeare's Shylock character), it has been earnestly driven as part of the Islamic ideology as propagated by Muhammad since 622AD.

Hatred of Jews is core to the Qur'an and Hadith and other Islamic texts from the 7th century AD and the Shariah law which manifests those teachings. These have been, and remain to the present day, largely unaltered, the primary drivers for the massacre, enslavement and horrific treatment of Jewish people over more than 1,400 years, along with enforced banishment from, and dispossession of, their Middle Eastern homelands, including locations such as the land known as Palestine. This has been nothing less than a genocide by Islam and Muslims against Jews.

The injustice and inhumanity of that treatment of Jews around the world by an Islamic ideology which promotes a global intifada (i.e., killing and attacking Jewish people across the planet, and not simply in Israel) is abhorrent and inexcusable. The fact that Islam presents as a religion enables it to be protected from criticism, which is then turned on any accuser as an instance of religious intolerance or Islamophobia. It is not. It is a rejection of abhorrent, inexcusable, and inhumane behaviour.

The fact that second after such ill-treatment of Jews within Islamic ideology, is ill-treatment of Christians. This makes the question posed at the head of this article even more prescient, for at the time of writing this piece (May 2026) the slaughter of Christians by Muslims continues to be carried out around that world, and especially in places such as Nigeria and throughout the Middle East and Asia.

By supporting Islam over Western (aka. Christian) values, the West is seeking its own demise, with the ultimate winner being a global caliphate in which every person on the planet is subject to the discriminatory and barbaric Shariah law.

"Is that such a bad thing?", you may ask. The answer is Yes!, and this is why:

Islam, as presented in the Qur'an, Hadith and Shariah law, and as practiced since 622AD, is misogynistic, pedophilic, homophobic, religiously intolerant, sexist, racist, violent, revengeful, hateful, censorial, opposed to free speech and freedom of thought, conservative, anti-art, anti-music, deceptive (taqiyya), isolationist, anti-democratic and autocratic. It can be physically, emotionally and psychologically debilitating. It has been called a death cult, because it encourages the killing of Infidels (i.e., non-Muslims) through jihad in order to achieve sainthood and eternal pleasure in the afterlife, primarily for men.

Islamic jihad has, since 622AD, sought the killing of all those who reject Islamic ideology and refuse to become Muslim. There are no ifs or buts; no exceptions based on age, sex, race, or religious belief. You can pay a bribe (jizya) to escape immediate death, but you will live as a second class citizen if you choose that path, and death still awaits you at any moment, for you are classed as an Infidel or, if ex-Muslim, an Apostate.

At its heart, this article is about the writer's ongoing journey to identify good and evil in the world, and, following the Gnostic lessons of Jesus Christ, and the core Tibetan Buddhist mantra: Om mani padme om .... Help me be the best I can - be a light in amongst the darkness present in the world. This noblest of causes manifests in a simple blog, which attempts to outline where that is present in the whole Islam vs. Jews and Christians issues, in the existence of the Free Palestine movement related to that, and the ongoing presentation of both Israel and the United States as the "great evil" is Islamists and the Left often likes to promote.

Evil is not inherently race based; it is, in fact, very much an individual decision, arising out of free will. Efforts can be used to blame ignorance for acts of evil. This, however, is not sustainable, for evil is as evil does, and to do evil is, once again, contingent upon an individual decision to remain ignorant or know fully that evil is being pursued as an act of free will. That is where all rational argument falls down. That is where hatred, revenge and rage rule.

The bias in the Free Palestine movement - both in its creation and drive for sustainability - is evident in the following. During the Arab - Israeli war of 1948, also known as the War of Independence, some 70 massacres were identified (Wikipedia). Of those, between 10 and 33 were on the part of Israel and its ethnic groups or defence forces. Therefore, from 37 to 60 were on the part of Arab Muslims, acting according to Islamic ideology and Shariah law.

The present writer has noticed that, as a previous adherent to the Free Palestine movement, he was bombarded with examples - both historic and contemporary - of atrocities carried out by Israel, with a focus in the media and within the Leftist social media bubble on the killing of children and babies. In amongst that barrage there was never reference to, or condemnation of, similar massacres and barbarities by the "other side", i.e., the supporters of Islamic ideology and Muslims. For example, the Jewish massacre in the village of Deir Yassin on 9 April 1948 where around 107 Arab Palestinian villagers were killed, was brought on by an Arab Muslim blockade of Jerusalem, and was followed by an Arab Muslim massacre of a medical convoy at Hadassah at on 13 April 1948 in which 78 Jewish doctors, nurses, students, patients, faculty members and Haganah fighters, and one British soldier were killed.

This Jewish / Arab Muslim tit for tat has existed since 622AD, and beyond that is universal in regard to tribal societies and sovereign states, where war and conflict is never ending. This does not excuse it; it simply reveals a harsh reality of humanity. However, in the fight of good against evil / evil against good it is often seen as necessary or simply inevitable (aka., collateral damage) until a "peace" is finally secured, through fair means or foul. World War II is a good example, in which millions of combatants and non-combatants died or were injured as conflict between so-called forces of good and evil battled it out across the planet.

What is the solution here, to humanity's never ending internal conflict, whether it be within (i.e., the "suffering" identified by Buddha) or without, as in amongst individuals, families, tribes and clans, or nation states and everything inbetween? There appears to be none, at least until humanity reaches a higher state of consciousness in which the idiocy of such actions is realised. At a moment in the history of human kind when critical thinking is missing or on the wain, that moment appears a very long way off.

The present writer worked in the Australian higher education sector as a research assistant and professional archivist for almost three decades between the 1990s and end of 2020. During that time critical thinking was a key element of dealing with the world at large, based on an understanding of, and respect for, the past, in order to learn from that and not repeat its mistakes. Of course, critical thinking has been thrown out the window by Western societies in pursuit of DEI, Woke and government programs of misinformation / disinformation which became prominent during the COVID-19 epidemic of 2020 - 2022, though its origins date back a decade before that. To act upon limited information, bias and personal feeling became the norm. Feeling replaced Facts as a dominant driver of action, especially by sections of the Left who preferred appeasement over wisdom, and those of the Right who pursued profit at any and all cost. Unfortunately blissful ignorance amongst the majority of people was part of the media and political manipulation which enabled this ongoing pursuit of a path to personal and public destruction. The result: evil defeats good? I hope not, but Voldemort lives and the horcruxes are many ......

The West is plagued by lunacy, as a cancer within is called everything but what it is, namely, the spread of Islamic ideology - an ideology which is antithetical to Western society core values, morals and beliefs. Everybody knows the truth, but when politicians and the media refuse to "speak truth to power" and that power is Islam and the presence of 2 billion Muslims on the planet, the vast majority of which merely seek peace, then there is a problem which must eventually be addressed, openly and without fear or favour. The following videos clearly reveal the "elephant in the room" which is causing havoc in Great Britain and which is present to varying degrees across Western and Asian societies such as Australia, the United States, Myanmar, and even Islamic countries such as Pakistan.

The philosophical and political gymnastics on display here are entertaining to say the least, if not downright concerning. By the way, the answer to the question is simple: Islamic ideology is the primary reason for rising anti-Semitism, especially since the HAMAS invasion of Israel by 6,000 Muslim combatants on 7 October 2023 and the subsequent HAMAS - Israel war which has seen a focus on the suffering of those innocent people in Gaza. Why do Leftist politicians find this impossible to state, when the facts support it. In addition, when c.70% of terrorism has an Islamic basis. As a member of the Left, the writer puts truth before politics. Always has, always will, as truth is the very foundation of democracy, whether we like what it reveals or not. Critical thinking may be dead, but it is not yet buried.

These two videos speak for themselves. They go to the heart of the aforementioned cancer infesting Western society at the time of writing (May 2026). This is not about religious intolerance; this is about a real threat to Western societies faced by the invasion of antithetical Islamic ideology. To fight such ideology is just. There is no such thing as Islamophobia, because fear of Islamic ideology is entirely reasonable. If Islam was merely a religion, like all other religions, there would be no such fear. The fact that it is a brutal death cult debunks any and all claims to it being a "religion of peace" and no threat to the West. History tells us otherwise.

3. Free Israel!

There is no Free Israel! movement, but there should be. Why? Because, in 1948 the free world, via the United Nations, created the state of Israel. The aim was to have a democratic nation state in which dispossessed Jews and other people indigenous to the Middle East could return to their homeland and live in peace in an open, free democracy, away from the horrors of the Holocaust, anti-Semitism and and religious intolerance.

Islam opposed the idea from its very beginning, and especially following the Balfour Declaration of 1917 in which the British pledged their support. From the 1920s through to the present day, Islamic terrorists have targeted Jews and the state of Israel, killing and injuring thousands. There has been no peace for the people of Israel, whether they be Jews, Christians or even Arabs Muslims. As Wikipedia points out:

Israel is a multiethnic, primarily Jewish state with a population of approximately 9.7 million, composed of roughly 73–75% Jewish, 21% Arab, and 5% other minorities (including Druze and Christians). The Jewish population is diverse, with over 50% having partial Mizrahi (Middle Eastern/North African) descent and about 32% Ashkenazi (European) descent.

Israel, like many other countries around the world such as Poland, Hungary and Japan, controls its borders and limits immigration in order to ensure the integrity and sustainability of its indigenous cultures, whether they be pre- or post colonial, or a mixture of the two as exists in places like Australian and Canada. As of May 2026 the failure to ensure that integrity is taking place in Great Britain, Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia due to large scale migration from Islamic countries in Africa, the Middle East and Indian subcontinent. The Free Palestine movement classifies this policy, in the case of Israel, as Apartheid, when it is not. It is noted that South Africa was the proponent of a submission to the United Nations to declare that Israel's treatment of people in the Palestinian areas of the West Bank and Gaza was and in genocide. No determination was ever made by the United Nations, though the Free Palestine movement promotes the submission as successful and commonly refers to Israel as a nation which practices both genocide and apartheid, when it does neither.
