1. Al-Aqsa Deluge massacre, 7 October 2023

On Sunday, 7 October 2023, the Palestinian Islamic organisation HAMAS invaded Israel in a well=planned and executed military campaign labelled Operation Al-Aqsa Deluge, led by Commander Mohammed Deif (1965-2024). It was initially targeted at civilians in towns along the border with Gaza, in the vain hope of conquering and defeating Israel. The campaign was one of the most brutal and barbaric in modern history, involving the shooting, knife attacks, be-heading, rape, torture and kidnapping of innocent Israelis on the part of HAMAS and the Palestinians involved. Much of it was recorded on cameras such as body Go Pros worn by the perpetrators. The HAMAS and often corresponding Israeli security camera footage is so horrific that it was NEVER aired on Western media in the days and months following the attack of 7 October. It remains largely unknown in the West to the present day and, as a result, has led to claims by Muslims and the media that a massacre did not actually take place.

In response to the attack of 7 October, the Israeli military forces fought back. It took two weeks to remove HAMAS from Israel, and this was followed by a campaign by Israel to destroy HAMAS from its Gaza stronghold, and bring to justice those involved in the attack, slaughter and kidnapping This was subsequently known as the HAMAS - Israel War.

By February 2026 HAMAS admitted that some 50,000 of its combatants had been killed in action, the majority of them being Palestinian Muslims. An additional estimated 28,000 Palestinians had died in the conflict, comprising some 14,000 by natural attrition of the population of 2 million, and Israel's estimate of from 7,000 to 14,000 civilians killed due to collateral damage arising from the destructive military campaigns on both sides.

Despite the culpability on the part of HAMAS, the cry around the world from October 2023 through to 2026 has been Free Palestine - End the Genocide!, with Israel being accused of genocide. Yet this is all wrong, for the genocidal activity carried out in Palestine, and specifically Gaza, on 7 October 2023 and during that subsequent two and a half year period was not on the part of the Jews or the state of Israel, but rather, by HAMAS and the wider Islamic community.

The argument for a Jewish genocide of Palestinians was put by a South-African submission on 26 January 2024 to the International Court of Justice following the Al-Aqsa Deluge attack. No such submission was made in regard to HAMAS. This is despite the fact that Islam, and its sponsored organisations such as HAMAS, the PLO and al-Qaeda, have in recent times, and Muslims in general going back to 622AD and the time of Muhammad, initiated the slaughter of Jewish people as a core element of their Islamic ideology.

With Islam presenting as a religion, but actually being a comprehensive political and social ideology, the claim of adherrence to that ideology is often labelled faith, and the slaughter of Jews is presented to them as a holy war in which they can obtain martyrdom and passage to heaven. Of course, for any Leftist to make a claim that there is no genocide on the part of Israel, and that HAMAS is guilty, is nothing less than sacrilege and met with instant accusations of being an Islamophobe and/or Zionist, as though the latter was the worst thing one could ever be accused of. But the truth is otherwise, and the facts of history support this, including statements by HAMAS officials and military leaders, and senior Islamic clerics.

Zionism is often bandied about to inflame hatred beyond the Middle East, feeding off worldwide anti-Semitism which saw a peak during Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime (1933-1945), culminating in the Holocaust and the slaughter of 6 million Jews and 5 million other racial and social groups targeted by them. A Zionist is a person who supports an independent Jewish state. This was created in 1948 as the state of Israel, on land which was formerly part of Palestine and neighbouring lands. Organisations which have supported Zionism include the League of Nations, the United Nations and major countries such as Great Britain, Russia and the United States. However, the truth is otherwise.

Islam has always opposed the idea of an independent Jewish state, and even one located in the traditional homeland of the Jewish people such as the Middle East and Palestine. As such, the virulent opposition to Zionism, and racism towards the Jews of the world, has been led by Islam and its supporters known as Muslims. It is deeply embedded in their teachings, law and actions over more than fourteen centuries. It is something that has never stopped and will probably never cease as long as Islam survives in its present form. A radical reformation is needed to divest it of its more horrific elements, such as anti-Semitism, misogyny, pedophilia, polygamy, cousin-marriage, racism, sexism, and brutality according to the law known as Shariah.

The Jews and the state of Israel are victims of an Islamic genocidal campaign which has stretched over more than fourteen centuries, since the time of Muhammad from 622AD. It was set in place through Muhammad's personal hatred of Jews, through his public teachings, and then onto the pages of the Qur'an and later biographical Hadith. The latter publications then formed the basis for Sharia. As a result, all Muslims are tasked with killing Jews and, since 1948, fighting for the annihilation of the state of Israel. This "holy war" or genocide has operated under the Islamic term jihad, and HAMAS is the organisation slated to carry it out from their base in Gaza.

For those who think the present writer is completely crazy to suggest that the Jews of the world are the victims of genocide, rather than the perpetrator as promulgated by the Free Palestine movement, it is suggested that they first read the following article:

Avaham Russell Shalev, Hamas' October 7th Genocide: Legal analysis and the weaponisation of reverse accusations - a study in modern genocide recognition and denial, Israel Law Review, volume 58, Special Issue 2-3: The Gaza War and International Law, 8 August 2025, 343-382.

Abstract: This article analyses the October 7th 2023 Hamas attack on Israel through the lens of the [United Nations] Genocide Convention, arguing that these actions constitute genocide under international law. Drawing on international case law, the analysis demonstrates how Hamas’ actions meet both the physical element and specific intent requirements for genocide, evidenced by its ideology, systematic policies and leadership statements. The article also examines how reverse accusations of genocide against Israel have functioned as a rhetorical shield to deflect recognition of Hamas’ own genocidal actions. It analyses the legal implications for state parties and the international community.

The argument put by Shalev is convincing. Whilst the present writer supports that argument, this is not to abrogate Israel for responsibility for the death of innocent civilians in the HAMAS - Israel war which has raged following the invasion of Israel by HAMAS on 7 October 2023. Whilst some of Israel's military actions are horrific, they are not part of a genocide against the people of Gaza - they are the result of Israel's defense-driven offensive against HAMAS, with the vast majority of those killed being HAMAS operatives, including many amongst the population of Gaza.

As a large number of the residents of Gaza are Muslims, and they believe in the jihad against the Jews and Israel, they have participated in the war and also become victims of the Israeli defence forces in pushing back against the invasion. This perspective, and this reality, is not one which is considered at all by the bulk of the Free Palestine movement. Unfortunately that movement is delusional. Why? Because HAMAS does not want a Free Palestine unless Israel has been destroyed. Yet many Palestinians simply want peace, and to live in harmony with the people around them, whether they be Jews, Christians, Arabs or whatever. Unfortunately, Islam is totally opposed to this and, as a result, it has been at war with Israel and the Jews since 1948. That first war was initiated by the former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Nazi collaborator, Amin al-Husayni. He rejected peace proposals from the British and United Nations. Subsequently, Yasser Arafat, leader of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, rejected two-state peace proposals by Israel, the United States and United Nations. And so it is that in 2026 Islam continues to reject the very existence of Israel; wealthy Islamic countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia fund anti-Semitic campaigns around the world; and the Jews and Israel are vilified and hated by Leftist and others who support the Free Palestine campaign. The latter fail to realise that Palestine was the homeland of Jewish people prior to the arrival of Mohammad in Medina in 622AD, his slaughter of three local Jewish tribes shortly thereafter, and his promulgation of an ideology - Islam which called for their killing. Mohammad and subsequent Muslims kicked the Jews out of Palestine and the Middle East. When the word said they could come back with the 1917 Balfour Declaration and the creation of Israel in 1948, Islam continued to 'spit the dummy' in the form of its ongoing genocide towards the Jews of the world. Whatever one thinks of the actions of Israel in Gaza since 7 October 2023, the previous historical facts cannot be ignored. If they are ignored, then it is just a simple case of people being sucked into the evil that is anti-Semitism and Islam.

2. Rape

3. Taqiyya

Early in January 2026, whilst reading a low-price 1956 English translation of the Qur'an, the present writer ordered off eBay a prestige, annotated version of the text for the princely sum of just Aus$20. It was hardbound and in a special case. In the middle of February, after having completed reading the Qur'an, he received an anonymous phone call from a young Muslim man asking if he liked my English translation of the Qur'an. Over the next twenty minutes a conversation ensued in which the young man rebutted any and all criticisms of the book, and my references to being raised a Christian and taken on aspects of Buddhist over subsequent years. He was extremely persistent. For example, when it was mentioned that upon arrival in Medina, Mohammad had taken part in the slaughter of three local Jewish tribes, and in one notable instance he "and his two brothers" had decapitated between 600 - 900 men of the tribe in an afternoon, whilst forcing their wives and children to look on. The young man simply said to me:

"There was no massacre."

I later read in the above article the following footnote (#100) referring to this event, viz:

'Khaibar' refers to a seventh century battle in which the Prophet Muhammad slaughtered an Arabian Jewish tribe. It is a common chant by modern Islamist groups.

This young man was engaging in the Islamic practice of Taqiyya, which means to lie, cheat and deceive all in the name of spreading the word of Islam.

I hung up shortly thereafter.
